The cold season is here: it’s time to plan your winter ferments. To get inspiration and learn something new from your peers, QU Community is meeting again for a Skills Exchange session.
We want to try a new format, in which practitioners from our community get a stage to share their practices, knowledge, and tips. The day will be divided between two more frontal learning sessions in the beginning, and a more social moment focused on eating, exchanging ideas, and feedback.
📅 Nov 9th, 14:00-17:00
📍Satellit, Weinstr. 11, 10249 Berlin
💵: open and donation-based, to cover for the costs of the space and the materials
Here is the program for the day.
Milk kefir, everything to love about it - Flow Ferments
Learn how this drink is made and how to take care of the living culture called "Kefirans".
Florencia Del Sol of Flow Ferments will explain the benefits of consuming it regularly for gut health, offering different varieties for tasting and sharing easy recipes you can prepare at home.
Capture the Culture: A Guide to Note Taking in Fermentation Projects.
What if the secret to mastering fermentation lies not in your ingredients, but in your notes? In this session, we will explore how systematic note-taking turns unpredictable experiments into repeatable success. Share your methods, learn from others, and discover practical strategies to improve your documentation skills and results.
Tasting Round
The last part will focus on sharing and trying ferments and recipes. You can bring your own and receive feedback on flavor, tips on the process, or exchange new ideas on improving your ferments. It will also be a chance to have snacks and socialize with people who share your passion for fermentation.
More is brewing in QU Fermentation Studio. We are preparing our winter program which we will announce soon. In addition, to answer the many people who asked, we will do a few special things for Christmas.
